29.6.26 - Photo of the day 💜

The smallest moments often mean the most.

Today, Jackie was delighted to see her daughters , and the smile on her face said it all. Seeing her face light up was a beautiful reminder of how important visits are.

Whether it’s popping in for a chat or enjoying a short trip out together, these precious moments create lasting memories and remind our loved ones just how much they are loved and cared for.

Thank you to all our wonderful families for the time, love, and happiness you bring with every visit. 💜

29.6.26 - Today, Barbara spent some time in our garden doing something she truly enjoys – being helpful and making a difference. 🌿💚

With great care and pride, Barbara planted our herbs into a beautiful wooden wheelbarrow that had been specially made for us. She carefully arranged each plant, gave them a good watering, and created a lovely display that everyone can enjoy.

Barbara loves having a sense of purpose, and today she certainly found it. Seeing how proud she was of what she had achieved was just as wonderful as seeing the finished planter. It’s amazing how meaningful activities like these can boost confidence, bring joy, and remind us all that every contribution matters.

25.6.26 - Some days are just made for smiling, and today was certainly one of those days for our lovely Heather! Not only did Heather win bingo – the highlight of her week, as it means she gets first pick of her favourite packet of crisps – but she was also delighted to be visited by two of her favourite people, Julia and Susan, who joined Malcolm in leading today’s game. With a bingo win, a well-earned packet of crisps, and the company of friends who always brighten her day, life really didn’t get much better for Heather today. Seeing her smile, laugh, and enjoy every moment reminded us how much joy can be found in the simple things: good company, a little bit of luck, and, of course, a favourite packet of crisps! We think it’s safe to say Heather will be going to bed a very happy lady See more

25.6.26- This week at Coppermill, our focus has been on keeping residents hydrated and helping everyone stay cool during the warm weather.

Today, we combined hydration with a little fun! After one resident mentioned they were craving an ice cream float, we got busy making plenty of ice cream and lemonade floats for everyone to enjoy. Our homemade iced coffees have also been a huge hit throughout the week.

To top it all off, we brought out the water pistols and had lots of laughs cooling each other down. A wonderful day filled with smiles, refreshments, and making special moments together.

It’s often the little suggestions from our residents that create the biggest smiles, and today’s ice cream floats were the perfect example. ☀️🍦🥤💦

23.6.26 - 👠 A Special Delivery for Rosslyn! 👠 Before moving to Copper Mill Care, Rosslyn spent many years working as a Senior Sales Assistant in Harvey Nichols, London, helping customers find the perfect pair of shoes. Even today, shoes remain one of her great passions, and she is never shy about sharing her expert opinion on everyone else’s footwear! Recently, Rosslyn decided it was time for a new pair of shoes of her own. With a little introduction to online shopping, she took charge of the search herself, carefully browsing and comparing options until she found exactly what she wanted. Today, her new shoes arrived — and they are absolutely perfect! Rosslyn was delighted and couldn’t stop smiling as she showed them off to everyone around the home. It was wonderful to see her so proud of her choice and enjoying every moment of her special delivery. Sometimes it’s See more

23.6.26 - 💙 A Special Moment for Joan 💙

Today brought us one of those lovely moments that make us all smile.

Joan, who is usually a lady of few words, decided she wanted to dance. As soon as she heard the music, she got up and showed us exactly what she wanted to do – and we were delighted to encourage her every step of the way.

With a big smile on her face, Joan enjoyed dancing and having fun, bringing plenty of smiles to those around her too. Seeing her so happy, confident, and enjoying the moment was truly wonderful.

At Coppermill Care, we believe in celebrating every achievement, every smile, and every opportunity for our residents to express themselves and enjoy life in their own way✨

22.6.26 - Afternoon Treat! ☀️

With temperatures set to soar today, our activity team got prepared early by making up jugs of delicious iced coffee first thing this morning and keeping them chilled in the fridge ready for the afternoon.

When it was time to serve them, (during our singalong ) our residents were absolutely delighted! The refreshing treat went down a storm, plenty of smiles, singing, laughter and happy conversations were shared along the way.

Sometimes it’s the simple things that bring the biggest smiles, and today’s iced coffees were certainly a hit! 🧊☕💙

19.6.26 - Daisy 🌼
There’s nothing quite like a little pampering to brighten someone’s day. 💅💖

Today, Daisy enjoyed some special one-to-one time with one of our wonderful volunteers, June who treated her to a lovely manicure. As her nails were being done, Daisy relaxed, chatted, and enjoyed every moment of being spoiled. Thank you June!

Afterwards, she chose a beautiful hat to wear to the ukulele concert and gave us the most wonderful smile — a smile that said it all. Seeing Daisy feeling happy, confident, and proud of herself was a lovely reminder of how much joy can come from life’s simple pleasures.

At Coppermill Care, we believe everyone deserves to feel special, valued, and cared for, and moments like these help create smiles that stay with us long after the day is over.

18.6.26 - England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Croatia 🇭🇷 Highlights-
When supporting people living with dementia, sometimes it’s the small compromises that make the biggest difference.

Instead of playing full football matches, we are showing short highlights. They’re easier to follow, less overwhelming, and still bring all the joy, emotion, and familiarity.

The engagement we see is incredible — smiles, connection, and real moments of enjoyment. It’s a reminder that person-centred care is about meeting people where they are, not where we expect them to be.

17.6.26 - 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 This afternoon, we had great fun getting into the football spirit as we listened to some classic football songs, waved our flags with pride, and enjoyed a little exercise together!

There was plenty of excitement, laughter, and team spirit as everyone came together to support our team ahead of their first World Cup game tonight. ⚽🏳️🎉

We’re all looking forward to cheering them on and wish them the very best of luck. Come on, England! 🦁🦁🦁

16.6.26 - A simple act of kindness can make a world of difference.

One of lovely carers gave a resident with swollen legs and feet a gentle massage, helping to ease discomfort and promote relaxation. The resident enjoyed the calming one-to-one time, leaving her feeling comforted, valued, and cared for.

Moments like these reflect the compassion and person-centred care our team provides every day, ensuring that residents not only receive support with their physical needs but also feel respected, happy, and cherished. 🩷

16.6.26 - little of what you fancy does you good! 🍩☀️

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful morning filled with tasty treats and plenty of smiles. And sounds! A huge thank you to Melanie, who kindly brought in doughnuts for everyone to enjoy during our choir practice.
The residents were absolutely delighted, sitting together with big sugary smiles on their faces as they tucked into their sweet treats.

As if that wasn’t enough, our chef then made the morning even more special by bringing around refreshing ice lollies for everyone to enjoy.

Treats aren’t just about the food – they’re about creating happy moments, sharing laughter, and making memories together. Seeing our residents so happy and content reminds us that sometimes the simple things in life bring the greatest joy. ❤️

15.6.26 - 🌍✈️ Today, our residents travelled to Egypt without leaving their chairs during our Armchair Travel activity! 🇪🇬

James shared his experiences of living in Egypt for many years , bringing along books, currency, and other interesting items for everyone to explore. Residents learned about Egyptian culture, listened to music, played percussion instruments, enjoyed some traditional tea and food, and had lots of fun taking part in a mummy-wrapping game!
This was a wonderful person-centred activity, allowing James to share something he is passionate about while benefiting everyone through learning, conversation, and new experiences. Sharing cultures helps bring people together, encourages inclusion, and creates meaningful moments for all.

Thank you, James, for taking us on such an enjoyable journey! ❤️
