🦉 A Wonderful Visit from Berkshire Birds of Prey! 🦅

our residents enjoyed a truly special experience with a visit from Berkshire Birds of Prey. They had the opportunity to meet a variety of beautiful owls up close, learning fascinating facts about these incredible birds while enjoying gentle interaction and plenty of smiles.

The visit sparked wonderful conversations, memories, and moments of joy throughout the home. It was lovely to see so many residents engaging with the birds and sharing such a unique experience together.

A huge thank you to Berkshire Birds of Prey for bringing these magnificent creatures to visit us and creating such a memorable day for everyone. 💚

5/6/26 ⭐️Like and share⭐️ Berkshire music trust visited this week for an interactive singing workshop which residents throughly enjoyed. singing a variety of songs for all to join in smiles all around!
A round of Tri-ominos in the lounge this afternoon in a one to one session. What’s your favourite pastime game to play?

Broadmead has a lovely garden filled with roses and cottage garden flowers which we are lucky enough to be able to pick and use in our dining room.

Week commences 11/5/26 Staff celebrate milestone birthdays this week a real community amongst staff supporting each other as well as our residents look at this fantastic cake a colleague made for her team member 😍🍽️

13/5/26⭐️Like and share⭐️ Tickled pink productions have a Fantastic interactive performance of rags to riches this week. Residents gathered in the lounge for a theatre style experience.

The first roses are out in the garden! Summer is coming🎉🎉🎉

10/5/26 ⭐️Like and share⭐️ Sunday was a day for 1 to 1 activities these are so important to promote independence, positive emotional wellbeing and a sense of responsibility.

In room and communal room activities were carried out. Residents enjoyed some social interaction and lovely chats with our staff.

Diane has very recently joined Broadmead, and we’re so pleased to welcome her to the Broadmead family💙

Diane’s husband and their son Luke, took part in the Alzheimer’s Society 13-mile Trek in and around Salisbury on Saturday 2nd May. With the sun shining, they completed the challenge in just over 4 hours and have raised over £6,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society. 👏

This was their third year taking part, and they’re already planning to do it again in 2027!

A fantastic achievement all round, well done to you all! 🌟

28/4/26 ⭐️Like and share⭐️ Nature crafting, sensory garden flowers and some floor games were enjoyed in the lounge today we have some budding artists here at Broadmead 🎉👏

27/4/26 The sunshine continued on Monday so activity lead Kris headed outside for a garden bowling and quoits challenge.

25 &26 /4/26 The sun was shining⭐️and residents couldn’t wait to sit and relax in our garden here at Broadmead followed by some baking with our weekend baking club shortbread biscuits and new friendships blossomed.

A little dance off in the lounge before lunch the perfect end to our weekend.

A celebration lunch with party hats and delicious food and an afternoon tea for supper!!
The residents had a fantastic day celebrating 🥳

22/4/26 ⭐️Like and share⭐️ A morning of calm with poetry and reflection in the lounge. Residents enjoyed discussing there favourite poets and of course some read Shakespeare 👏

21/4/26 ⭐️Like and share⭐️ Kris and the residents have been donated some hand crocheted blankets which they are creating fiddle blankets from there progress so far……
