For World Mental Health Day, we took some time out for a self-care session, to focus on relaxation.🌿

The afternoon included hand masks and massages, hydrating under-eye patches and head massages using a massage tool.

The head massage was a unique sensation and Brian and Pat were particularly fond of it! 😊

Our latest arts and crafts session saw us painting a selection of autumn-inspired shapes, including colourful leaves, acorns and pumpkins.

These are all part of a bigger project, as we’ll be cutting out our finished designs and bringing them together to create autumn wreaths! 🍂 Keep an eye out for the results! 🍁

We’ve been busy in our weekly Cooking with Company sessions. At last week’s sweet baking session we made caramel cupcakes with chocolate chips!🧑‍🍳

From mixing the ingredients to filling the cases, we had a lovely time reminiscing about favourite recipes and treats, and had the added bonus of getting to taste the finished results. 😋

The cupcakes went down a treat with our residents — caramel and chocolate chips proved a winning combination! 🧁🍫

Macmillan Coffee Morning!🍰☕

We recently hosted our annual Macmillan Coffee Morning with plenty of cake, coffee and some very competitive baking!

Our staff bake sale featured a fantastic selection of homemade cakes, which were put to the test by our volunteer judges, Audrey, Brian and Pauline. After much consideration, they voted Michelle’s layered chocolate cake as the winner! 🏆🍫 Michelle was awarded as The Lindens Star Baker!⭐️

A big thank you to everyone who baked, donated, judged and supported the morning. Together, we raised £130.41 for Macmillan Cancer Support 💚
