Bricklehampton Hall delighted with new 'Good' CQC Rating

Bricklehampton Hall - Building

Bricklehampton Hall Nursing Home, part of Blissful Care Homes, has been rated Good overall by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), following a period of intensive improvement work after the service was previously rated Inadequate.

The new rating, published on 4 August 2026, sees Bricklehampton Hall rated Good across all five key areas inspected by the CQC: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led. The rating applies to the home’s registered provider, Classic Care Limited, trading as Bricklehampton Hall, based in Bricklehampton, near Pershore, Worcestershire.

How the Bricklehampton Hall Team Transformed the Rating.

The improvement follows a challenging period for the home, which had previously been rated Inadequate and was subject to enforcement action after breaches were identified relating to person-centred care, dignity and respect, safe care and treatment, safeguarding, and governance. Since then, the home has been under the oversight of registered manager Mrs Maxine Fearnehough, supported by additional management resource and an external consultancy brought in specifically to help drive improvements across the service.

Work carried out during this period included strengthening safeguarding processes, improving the physical environment, tightening medicine management, and reviewing staff recruitment and training. The home also introduced resident and family surveys to gather direct feedback and better understand where further changes were needed.

“This rating reflects a huge amount of hard work from the whole team at Bricklehampton Hall over the past year. We know families need to be able to trust that their loved ones are safe and well cared for, and this Good rating from the CQC is an independent confirmation that the changes we’ve made are working. We are proud of the team, but we also know that maintaining this standard, not just achieving it, is what matters most to residents and their families.”
